SRK-Katrina’s new film will have Adi’s touch say sources
Katrina Kaif and Shah Rukh Khan
Yash Chopra might be the king of romance having directed some of the most iconic romantic films in Indian cinema. However, when it comes to making a contemporary romance, it seems he needs guidance from his son Aditya who made the blockbuster ‘Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge’ almost 15 years ago.
Sources from the sets of Yash Chopra’s directorial comeback starring Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma reveal that Adi has not just been keeping a watch on production details, he is also helping out his dad direct the love scenes in the film. Insiders say that when Yash Chopra created the romantic scenes in films like ‘Kabhie Kabhie’, ‘Deewar’, ‘Daag’ and others, he was closer to the age of actors but now he feels more comfortable with Adi taking charge. The result is that while the dramatic scenes will have Yashji’s style, the romantic sequences between Shah Rukh and Katrina will bear Adi’s quintessential touch.
When contacted, Katrina too seemed happy with the way the love scenes have thus shaped up. “I’d like to think Shah Rukh and I share the same on-screen chemistry as he did with Kajol and Madhuri. I’ve learnt a lot by simply observing him especially in the romantic sequences,” she said.
Will Kat and SRK relive the magic of DDLJ? We will know when the film hits the screens probably this Diwali. Recently, the first schedule of the as yet untitled venture was shot in London.
