The French brunch at Traiteur

There’s no better way to spend a Friday afternoon than at Traiteur’s multiple award-winning brunch. We sat outdoors in the piazza area and were immediately taken aback by the beautiful view of the marina, not to mention the yachts. Not only was the live jazz band amazing but it was a really nice touch too!

After our very polite server described the brunch and what we could expect to find, we didn’t waste a minute heading into the eye-catching venue which was bustling, to try out some traditional and tasty French classics.

We started off by sampling a mouth-watering selection of fresh farmhouse cheeses and cold cuts. It was then time to head into the kitchen where we tried out a few cold soups, sushi, steak tartare, veal cheek, mashed potatoes, creamy mushrooms and foie gras crème brûlée which was simply divine and so unique!

My friend indulged in snails which were dripping in rich, warm garlic butter and claimed they were the best she had in the city.

We had to take a breather before we went back for more. Everything was so delish it was quite hard to hold back. I went off to the live cooking stations and gorged on the spit-roast lamb and USA beef from the rotisserie while my friend tried out the lobster, shrimp and salmon from the grill station which was also lip-smacking good!

After some great conversation and people-watching, we decided to walk into the dessert room which can only be described as heavenly! From homemade ice-creams and a crêpe station to a chocolate fountain, a praline station and so many other sinful treats, we just couldn’t resist sampling them!

The service at Traiteur is impeccable and the staff –Ivan, Prasad and Susan certainly made this an afternoon to remember! This fabulous brunch is a must-try and I can’t wait to head back there soon!
