The actor says the sex comedy isn’t targeted at family audiences
The promos of 'Kya Super Kool Hain Hum' are out and have some sequences of 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham' (K3G) embedded in them. However the lead actor Riteish Deshmukh says that the scenes from Karan Johar's family drama have been included to make fun of their sex comedy.
"We are not making fun of ‘K3G’. Actually we are making fun of our own film. We are saying that our film is not a family drama. It's not a film that can bring families together or that you can watch with your family! It's about having fun and enjoying ourselves," Riteish told reporters at the launch of the first look of 'Kya Super Kool Hain Hum'.
Riteish sought to quell all rumours of a Karan Johar being upset as he revealed that KJo had himself shared the footage of ‘K3G’. "None of the footage that we have used in the film can be used without the permission of the filmmaker. Hats off to Karan who has a sense of humor...not many people would have the guts to give their films to be made fun off. All of us here would like to thank Karan for extending his support by giving the footage of K3G for our film," said the actor.
Tusshar Kapoor, Riteish Deshmukh, Sarah Jane Dias and Neha Sharma play the lead roles in the film which is a sequel to the ‘Kya Kool Hai Hum’. The film is slated for an August release.
