Kareena’s Rs 5 crore deal
She proves that she is still the queen of endorsements
Kareena Kapoor may evoke mixed responses to her roles in her recent films but as far as endorsements go, she is still the queen. The buzz is that the actress has been signed on to promote a lemonade brand for a whopping Rs 5 crore. Incidentally, arch rival Katrina Kaif endorses a mango drink!
Sources say that Bebo who was the face of another popular cola company but her contract with them expired recently. And she lost no time in grabbing another deal from a rival company when it came her way.
According to sources, Kareena now has 16 brands in her kitty making her the most sought-after name in the ad world among actresses. Her back-to-back success in 2011 with ‘Bodyguard’ and ‘Ra.One’ has taken her right to the top.
Ever since she signed onto to Madhur Bhandarkar’s ‘Heroine’, the actress’s fat pay cheques have been grabbing headlines. She was apparently paid almost Rs 8 crore for the film, the highest for any actress in the Indian film space ever. This has apparently reflected on her ad value as well and the actress makes sure to devote time to her brands.
