Katrina’s special bond with Arjun Kapoor

Last month, Arjun Kapoor, producer Boney Kapoor’s son and Yash Raj’s next big rising star who makes his debut with ‘Ishaqzaade’ in May, lost his mother Mona to cancer. While friends and family have rallied around the young man helping him cope with the grief, there is one star who has surprisingly stood behind him like a rock. And that is Katrina Kaif. Recently, the actress flew down to Mumbai from London where she was shooting only to lend her support to Arjun during this time of crisis.

A tabloid reports that Katrina’s special bond with Arjun goes back a long way when she first came to Mumbai. At that time he was seeing Salman’s sister Arpita and they soon became good friends. In fact, Kat started considering him her younger brother in Mumbai.

Apparently Katrina, like all those who are close to Arjun, knew that there was little chance for Mona to recover. She was shooting for the Yash Raj film with Shah Rukh Khan in London when she got the news of her friend’s mother’s death but was unable to fly back to Mumbai because of her schedule. However, as soon as she wrapped up work, she landed in Mumbai to be with Arjun. Apparently, she spends every evening with him and is quietly supportive without making a big issue out of it.

The report also says that Arjun wants to show ‘Ishaqzaade’ to Katrina soon.
