Exes in Bollywood are a professional lot. Even if they break up and say nasty things about each other in public, they have no qualms about working together if the situation demands. Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif, Shahid Kapoor-Priyanka Chopra and Ranveer Singh-Anushka Sharma are some examples of lovers who continue to sizzle on screen even if their off screen romances have fizzled. The latest pair on this list is John Abraham and Bipasha Basu whose break up was one of the biggest scandals to hit Bollywood last year. And the credit for getting this jodi together on screen goes to Ekta Kapoor.
Bipasha recently signed Ekta’s much-anticipated ‘Shootout At Wadala’ which stars John in a pivotal role. Though Kangna Ranaut stars opposite him, Bipasha has been signed for a cameo which includes a song and a scene. When approached, Ekta confirmed the news.
Though it’s still not known whether John and Bips will have any scenes together, the fact that they will share screen space is big news and could possibly lay the path for a new beginning, say sources.
The hot couple first came together on screen in ‘Jism’ (2002) and entered a relationship soon after. They were together for nearly 10 years before splitting up in 2011. Their last film as a lead couple was ‘Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal’ in 2007.
