Salman Khan to do an item number for free
The large-hearted superstar isn’t charging Ajay Devgn a penny for the song
Salman Khan is known to stand up for his friends. Insiders say he goes to great lengths to accommodate people close to him. And he has shown his generosity once again by doing an item song in friend Ajay Devgn’s forthcoming film. What’s more, he is doing it entirely for free.
Apparently Salman was finalised for the song only recently after the director Ashwini Dheer, producer Kumar Mangat and Ajay discussed the peppy number. All of them felt Salman would do justice to the song. Ajay then called up Salman and offered the song to him and the latter agreed almost immediately. The song will be shot in a Mumbai studio where a special set will be built for this purpose.
Interestingly, Ajay and Salman weren't as great friends when they acted together in ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ more than a decade back. They became closer only while working together in ‘London Dreams.’ Sources say Salman’s doing it only as a goodwill gesture for a friend as last year Ajay and Sanjay Dutt had done cameos in ‘Ready’ at Salman’s request. They were shooting for ‘Rascals’ in another part of Thailand, but when Salman called, they shot their parts.
