The actress will share screen space with the 'Rockstar' in Ayan Mukherji's next film
Kalki Koechlin’s career is going places. After working in unconventional movies like 'Dev D', 'Shaitan', and 'That Girl In Yellow Boots', she tasted box office success with 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ in 2011. Now, she has taken one more step to join the commercial league of actresses by signing up director Ayan Mukherji's next film with none other than Ranbir Kapoor.
Rumor has it that the ‘Wake Up Sid’ director wants Kalki to share screen space with the ‘Rockstar’ Ranbir, his ex-flame Deepika Padukone and Aditya Roy Kapoor ('Saawariya', 'Action Replayy') for the highly publicised movie ‘Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani.’
The film which is a feel-good love story set in the 60s in a hill station, is said to be a tribute to the legendary filmmaker Nassir Hussain who made hits like 'Dil Deke Dekho', 'Teesri Manzil' etc in the '60s.
Although the movie has been in the news constantly due to Deepika and Ranbir’s pairing after their ugly, public break-up and Deepy’s date problems while shooting for Abbas Mastan’s ‘Race 2’ it is believed the film will finally roll on now that the cast has been confirmed.
Let's hope the script lives up to the hype.
