End of Sanjay-Ameesha friendship?

It looks yet another friendship in Bollywood is going kaput. Ameesha Patel had always counted Sanjay Dutt and his wife Manyaata to be among her closest friends. But reports now suggest that there might be trouble in paradise after a recent fracas at David Dhawan’s son Rohit’s sangeet in Goa last week.

Apparently, the bone of contention was Ameesha’s choice of clothing! The ‘Gadar’ actress had worn a very revealing chaniya-choli for the function which didn’t go down well with Sanjay Dutt who is slightly conservative when it comes to the way the women in his life dress. Insiders say when Ameesha came to the event dressed ‘inappropriately’, Sanjay asked her to cover up. He even took her dupatta from her shoulder and draped it around her, an act that enraged the actress who felt he had no business telling her what to wear and what not.She ticked him off in front of others which took Sanjay by surprise.

Incidentally, Ameesha had felt slighted by Sanjay even earlier when he refused to work in two of her home production films citing date issues. And now this incident has further created a rift between them.

When contacted Ameesha denied any problems with the Dutts and maintained that he would never misbehave with her. However Sanjay simply told a tabloid that he has considered Ameesha to be his sister and he would have done the same had Priya or Namrata dressed unsuitably for an event.

Well Ms Patel better make up with Sanjay, after all he has been one of her truest friends in the industry at a time when she doesn’t have too many films or friends!
