The search is on for the next Miss India Worldwide. If you are an unmarried Indian girl in the age group of 17 to 25 years with a height over 5 feet 6 inches and living in the UAE, Oman, Bahrain or Qatar, then you could be a contender for this title. Organisers Emirates Vision will conduct auditions on June 13 and 14 in all these countries to select 25 candidates from among the applicants. The finalists will undergo a free 10-day training programme in Dubai covering personal grooming, personality development, skin care, body toning, health and fitness, modelling and ramp walking. Free portfolios shot by a professional photographer and a video recording of their transformation during the training programme will be provided to all the selected candidates. The 25 chosen ones will also get a chance to walk the ramp at the TeleLife Trendsetters Mega Fashion show to be held on June 29 at the SAS Radisson Hotel in Dubai.

One lucky girl from among the 25 finalists will be selected during the training programme to represent the Middle East at the Miss India Worldwide pageant to be held in South Africa later this year. This beauty pageant, which is for Indians residing in different parts of the world, is a conservative event with no swim suit round. Participants are required to compete in four segments - evening gown, Indian dress, talent and a question answer session with judges.

There is no entry fee for participation and Emirates Vision will help finalists who are interested to secure modelling assignments and roles in Bollywood films. For more information call 04-3460040.
