From the incomparable moves of Malaika Arora Khan to the dulcet tones of Sunidhi Chauhan to the graceful charms of Zia Nath, the entertainment at the Masala! Awards 2011 at the Madinat Jumeirah was all about star quality and variety.
Host Mandira Bedi and MC Nitin Mirani introduced the cool list of performers, and one after another, they made the evening extra special for all the A-list guests.
As was expected, the svelte and sexy Malaika brought the house down with her performance. Grooving to her biggest hit Munni Badnaam Hui (pretty much the most awesome of item numbers in Bollywood!) and Chammak Challo as well, the star was a natural on stage, and showed just why she rocks all over the world.
Sunidhi Chauhan, who won the Best International Female Vocalist Award, was in fine form as well. Dressed in stylish all-black, the singer, who's been a part of T'town since she was a child, had the accomplished guests in the audience singing along with her.
Zia Nath, a solo artist specialising in the fusion of Sufi whirling and Odissi recitals, showed off some vintage entertainment that was as unique as it was fantastic.
