If we had to peg Kangna Ranaut's style, we'd have to say that she's one of those effortlessly fashionable women. Like the supermodel she played in 'Fashion' (for which she also took home the National Award), Kangna looks fabulous, whether her choices are high-end or high-street . The gorgeous actress was in Dubai on November 13 for a special photo shoot with Cosmopolitan Middle East at Deira City Centre (DCC), and impeccably turned out as always. She wowed the crowds gathered for the 'Be A Cosmo Cover Star' event, and really impressed us with her innate sense of chic. Here's more with Kangna Ranaut!
From among all your films, which was the most challenging in terms of look and styling?
‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai’ was the most challenging because we had to stick to a specific time period When I liked my look, my director didn’t and vice versa. But in the end all the hard work paid off.
Who do you think is the most stylish person in Bollywood?
I think it’s Akshay Kumar, courtesy of his wife Twinkle Khanna. She does a fab job of picking out all his clothes.
Who are your favourite designers?
Sabyasachi and Tarun Tahliani.
Your role in ‘Fashion’ remains such a memorable one. Did you ever want to be a supermodel?
Yes, I did want to become a supermodel because their lives are very interesting. I think their work is a little easier than that of an actor’s. They just have to look pretty, while actors have to do more than that. They have to rehearse their lines, perfect expressing their emotions and also take care of their body.
You were at the CCL press meet in Dubai on November 12 – have you ever played cricket yourself?
No, before I became the brand ambassador I never watched cricket. Although, after this, I will make a conscious effort to watch cricket.
How do you take care of your skin and hair?
I have a strict exercise regime. I do yoga. For my hair I apply oil regularly. Most importantly I eat right, because like they say ‘you are what you eat’. If you don’t care of your hair and skin then no look will suit you.
What is your make-up must-have?
Lip balm. I love the ones by Body Shop and Victoria's Secret.
