Guess who her special hero is?
Rani Mukerji is looking at new ways to revive her career. And it looks like she is bored of Bollywood heroes now. For her next film she is turning to the South for inspiration. No, she isn’t starring in a Tamil or Telugu film now, but Rani is simply working with one of the hottest stars in Tollywood, Prithviraj.
The project is filmmaker Anurag Kashyap's ‘Aiyaa’ along with Malayalam actor Prithviraj and the actress says it is a quirky love story. Rani herself is quite excited about it. “'Aiyaa' is an Anurag Kashyap production along with Viacom 18. Southern actor Prithviraj will star opposite me. It's quite eccentric. I am playing the role of a Maharashtrian girl and Prithviraj is playing the role of a south Indian boy. I am very excited. It's a very interesting film and I am looking forward to it," said Rani.
‘Aiyaa’ not only marks the Bollywood debut of Prithviraj but will also be the maiden directorial venture in Bollywood of National Award winning Marathi film director Sachin Kundalkar.
Rani has some interesting things up her sleeve which will hopefully bring her back into the limelight. While she had a good beginning to the year with ‘No One Killed Jessica’ she also has Reema Kagti's untitled film with Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor up for release next.
