Mumbai-girl-gone-to-Hollywood Freida Pinto was back in India to shot with Simi Garewal for her show 'Simi Selects India's Most Desirable'. And she got spilling on her incredible journey from the breakthrough role in 'Slumdog Millionaire' to 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes' that's now rocking at the US box office.
Freida quickly moved into Hollywood society post the triumph of 'Slumdog'. She was dinning with Cher and Kurt Russel, socialising with Brangelina and appearing on all the top talk shows.
When Simi asked Freida if she was star-struck, she replied instantly, "Of course, I was very star-stuck. Anybody who would be in my position would have been star-stuck. I had to train myself to be calm and composed, if at all I saw Angelina Jolie walking down somewhere. It is difficult because it’s like living in a fairy-tale. The biggest celebrities whom you have adored and been a fan of are in front of you - it is difficult to not be in awe. I felt like like Alice in Wonderland. I mean I never thought I would meet Mick Jagger.”
So what did she talk about with Mick Jagger? Freida confessed, “I didn’t say anything. See this is the thing, I don’t know what to say. I just get very nervous and kind of retreated into my shell. I just said 'I love your music' and that’s about it. Then I left."
