Riteish-Genelia get closer
Rumour has it that the couple might get married next year
The Riteish Deshmukh-Genelia D'Souza story has never been a flamboyant one. While the rest of the world guesses about the status of their relationship, Riteish and Genelia have always kept things quiet. They've stuck to the standard 'we're just good friends' stance and are rarely seen together in public. But that seems to be changing slowly but surely.
A few months ago the couple reportedly cosied up at Akshay and Twinkle Khanna's tenth wedding anniversary. Since then, things have progressed more publicly. The two were at IIFA 2011 in Toronto and supposedly stuck close through the length of the fest. Apparently, they attended a lot of events together, were observed holding hands and even sat together for several performances.
Genelia's mum was at IIFA too, and it seemed like she approved of the couple. And Riteish even faced some ribbing from Shah Rukh Khan when Gen went onstage to pick up an award.
So are the couple ready to take their relationship to the next level? Buzz is that things are really good between them, and there are supposedly talks of a 2012 wedding. Watch this space for updates!
