A film on Austrian-born German dictator Adolf Hitler called 'Dear Friend Hitler', which created a controversy when Anupam Kher opted out of it, is ready to release July 29 with Raghuvir Yadav in the lead role.
The film, which is in English, also has a Hindi version called 'Gandhi To Hitler'. Both will release on the same date.
'Dear Friend Hitler' has been directed by Rakesh Ranjan Kumar and produced by Anil Kumar Sharma, and also stars Neha Dhupia, Avijit Dutt, Naseer Abdullah, Aman Verma, Nalin Singh and Nikita Anand.
Imtiaz Ali, director of films like 'Jab We Met' and 'Love Aaj Kal', is the creative consultant for the movie.
The film looks at Hitler's downfall, his last days when only his love Eva Braun and his trusted aide Joseph Goebbels stood by him, as Germany crumbled around him and his trusted comrades deserted him.
It also aims to establish the superiority of Gandhism over Nazism - promoting the message of world peace.
