Shahid gets difficult

Success does strange things to people. A case in point is believed to be the young Shahid Kapur.

With the hit Jab We Met in his pocket, Shahid, an otherwise unspoilt young lad, has taken to throwing his weight around.

The man who is taking the brunt of it all is his good friend and director Ken Ghosh.

The duo has worked together in Ishq Vishk and Fida, and are known to be buddies. They are now working on a new film, which also stars Jiah Khan.

According to reports, the actor has been interfering in every department of the film. His suggestions are not just restricted to his own looks and getup, but even that of his co-stars.

Poor Ken has enough on his hands, what with trying to salvage his film from Shahid's suggestions and also thinking of a better title for his film.

Star, which is the working title of the film, has fuelled rumours that Ken's film is based on the Eighties film called Star, starring Kumar Gaurav as an upcoming singer. On the face of it, there is much that is similar between the old and the new Star. There were reports that Ken may be changing the title of his film.

Meanwhile, it seems there are many who love Shahid, tantrums or no tantrums.

The actor also loves kids, and this was evident when he was shooting for Ken's film at Senapati Shivaji School in Pune, last week. The presence of the actor saw many kids bunking their classes to watch the shoot. Shahid, like a very good boy, requested the kids to return to their classrooms and cautioned them against being out in the sun. However, Shahid didn't want to dishearten the kids and he promised to meet them after school hours since he was shooting there for the whole day.

Ken says, "Shahid simply loves kids. This made it all the more difficult for us to control the kids, as every ten minutes they would sneak out of their classrooms and stand in the sun to watch the shoot. Shahid disliked the kids having to stand in Pune's intense heat. The kids later returned to their classrooms but it sent our shooting for a toss that day."
