Bollywood’s Hottest Man!

Bollywood heroes are so hot that we are wondering if they are partly responsible for global warming. Chiselled good looks, six-pack abs, ripped muscles and an ability to make every female fan swoon. Not to mention that they are all rich beyond imagination, courtesy signing amounts that run into millions and multiple brand endorsements! They all have it all. But who is the HOTTEST? Masala! readers voted on www.masala.com and we present the results…

1. Salman Khan
USP: The man has charisma. But it is his naughty-with-a-golden-heart persona that makes him so loved ever since he did his first film.
LOVER BOY OR STEADY GUY: He has dated some of the most beautiful women in B’wood. But he is the kind who is loyal to a relationship as long as it lasts and so is an out-and-out steady guy.
HUNK FACTOR: This is the only Indian who got into People magazine’s international list and ranked world-wide as the seventh best looking man in 2004. And almost every single new B’wood initiate refers to him as an inspiration to buff up.
HOBBY: Bikes, painting and writing.
CAUSES: He is doing a world of good through his Being Human Foundation.

2. Shah Rukh Khan
USP: He is the Badshah. Period. And those intense bedroom eyes…
LOVER BOY OR STEADY GUY: The steadiest guy in Bollywood. Lucky Gauri.
HUNK FACTOR: Not a conventional hunk, but SRK, to his credit, was the first one to get on the six-pack bandwagon in OSO.
HOBBY: Videogames, late into the night!
CAUSES: This star is known to be very private about his charitable acts.

3. Shahid Kapoor
USP: Flirty, cute looks that can turn intense in a nanosecond.
LOVER BOY OR STEADY GUY: Since his break-up with Kareena Kapoor, the man is developing a lover boy image.
HUNK FACTOR: Bulging biceps that are in contrast to those cute boyish looks. But that is his charm. And he can dance and act too!
HOBBY: Loves biking.
CAUSES: A vegetarian, he is known to try and convince all his girlfriends to give up the meat!

4. Hrithik Roshan
USP: Those makes-you-go-weak-in-the-knee-eyes and some cool dance moves.
LOVER BOY OR STEADY GUY: Most definitely a steady guy despite the rumours of an affair with Kites co-star Barbara Mori.
HUNK FACTOR: Bulging biceps and a V-shaped torso and those gorgeous eyes make one forget those rather spindly legs.
HOBBY: Erm… anything to further his craft. However the man is supposed to be a pretty nifty singer!
CAUSES: Often visits terminally ill children in hospital, but is on the whole very low-key about the charity work he does.

5. John Abraham
USP: Bringing some ‘butt’ action into Bollywood.
LOVER BOY OR STEADY GUY: Not much is known about his pre-Bipasha days, but he and Bips have been together since 2002, despite all those naughty rumours.
HUNK FACTOR: He has redefined how women look at their B’wood heroes. With his teeny tiny swimming trunks in Dostana, bulging muscles and winning smile he is one of the original hunks of T’Town.
HOBBY: Bikes. Bikes. Bikes.
CAUSES: John is one of the most socially aware actors in B’wood. PETA, Habitat For Humanity, the Mumbai Marathon and numerous hospitals have benefitted from his generosity.

6. Arjun Rampal
USP: Chiselled hot supermodel looks and a bod to match.
LOVER BOY OR STEADY GUY: So steady that we are jealous of his wife.
HUNK FACTOR: Stratospheric. He, like fellow model John, looks too good to be true.
HOBBY: Photography and partying!
CAUSES: Project Crayons that provides education and shelter to street children.

7. Ranbir Kapoor
USP: The Kapoor lineage meets boy-next-door.
LOVER BOY OR STEADY GUY: Hmmm… Sonam, Deepika, Katrina… lover boy for sure!
HUNK FACTOR: Not the typical hunk with bulging muscles et all, but he does get everybody’s heart racing with those eyes and lanky good looks.
HOBBY: Apparently loves to cycle!
CAUSES: Not much is known about the causes close to his heart. But he does dream of reviving the RK banner.

8. Akshay Kumar
USP: Making us laugh and doing some mind-bending stunts.
LOVER BOY OR STEADY GUY: A Casanova like no other, he was dogged by rumours well into his marriage. But the last few years have seen him settle down to happy matrimony.
HUNK FACTOR: This is no ordinary action hero. He actually has a black belt and may be the only B’wood hero who knows Pakour. And that means muscles and some cool action (remember
Fear Factor?).
HOBBY: Martial arts and the odd cooking.
CAUSES: Special Olympics ambassador in India, he is a supporter of Indian sports – and no, not just cricket, but also boxing and other games.

9. Saif Ali Khan
USP: A truly royal dude with a chameleon like ability to change
his personality.
LOVER BOY OR STEADY GUY: Divorced and a father of two, he played the lover boy card till he met his equal in Kareena. His passion for her makes him that much more attractive to his female fans.
HUNK FACTOR: One has to give it to Saif for morphing from a rather effeminate hairstyle-bearing guy to a reliable hero and an actor who can make mean look sexy.
HOBBY: Playing his guitar and worshiping Kareena.
CAUSES: Saif has performed at the HELP! Telethon concert to raise money for the 2004 tsunami victims.

10. Imran Khan
USP: The perfect poster boy for teenagers and their mothers
and grandmothers!
LOVER BOY OR STEADY GUY: He has been dating Avantika for ever and now they are engaged. Steady guy for sure.
HUNK FACTOR: He is the delicious young man next door. But that image may change with his next release, I Hate Luv Storys, if the promos are anything to go by.
HOBBY: Besides tweeting, we presume sourcing thin ties…
CAUSES: Imran had lent his voice to the video (he was actually the driving force) that encouraged India’s youth to cast their vote in India’s last general elections.
