A R Rahman is Bollywood’s most trusted

Just when we thought that A R Rahman had won every honour and award there possibly was, a new one has come along. And it’s rather a huge compliment to the phenomenally talented Rahman’s personal as well professional qualities.

According to a survey published in the March issue of ‘Reader’s Digest India’, the ‘Mozart from Madras’ ranks number five on a list of the 100 most trusted people in India. And, he is, hands down, the most trusted person in Bollywood. He is followed by Amitabh Bachchan (ranked 14), musician Zakir Hussain (ranked number 16), and Aamir Khan (ranked number 18).

Wondering who the four people ranking ahead of Rahman are? Well, it’s a virtual who’s who of India best and brightest. Former president and scientist A.P.J. Abdul Kalam ranked first, followed by Tata group chairman Ratan Tata, former police chief Kiran Bedi and Infosys founder N.R. Narayana Murthy.
