He had an extremely successful launch with Kaho Na Pyaar Hai where, despite his power-packed performance, his dancing was very much noticed. Hrithik took dance classes to build on his skills before his movie’s release and they paid off indeed.

Expert opinion
“Hrithik is the best dancer we have in films today. He is simply fantastic in whatever he does. The guy is like a machine, a robot that can do anything. He picked up my steps so well that I was mystified by his flexible and agile body movements,” said Shiamak Davar when shooting Dhoom2.

Signature moves
Extremely fluid in style, most of Hrithik’s moves see him
slither his arms and legs without a pause at any of the body joints, leaving us to imagine he is as flexible as boiled spaghetti!

All for dance
We expect Hrithik to wow us as a salsa instructor in his forthcoming film, Kites. To perfect his role, Hrithik went to a dance school to observe how the instructor interacts with the students. Lucky students!

Making a successful entry into Bollywood with Ishq Vishq, it did not take too long for Shahid to get his dancing noticed. Trained by Shiamak Davar since the age of 15, Shahid is classical dancer Neelima Azam’s son.

“Shahid has commendable technique. Comparatively, I see more of myself in him than in Hrithik. He has solid co-ordination and control,” said dance guru Shiamak Davar.

Signature moves
Shahid is quite experimental with his dancing and much of his ease comes from the various styles he’s been trained in. His style is quite robotic and structured, making any non-dancer believe that dancing is no rocket science.

In Chance Pe Dance, Shahid experiments with new dance steps which he claims were a real challenge for him. Justin Timberlake’s choreographer, Marty Kudelka, teaches him to krump! Look out hip-hoppers, here comes a new champ!
