Konkana and other stars cheated in London
Actress sheds light on a November event
Not all charity dinners are for a worthy cause. A charity dinner hosted on November 26, 2009 in London by DVK Foundation in aid of the 2008 Mumbai terror victims apparently turned out to be a fraud.
This was revealed when a TV journalist asked Konkana Sen Sharma about this ‘fraud’ charity event at the “Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge” website launch press meet, held on Jan 18 at the Novotel Hotel in Mumbai.
Many a times stars do not like to comment on such issues when they are raised during a film’s promotion. But Konkana preferred to answer the questions and said she was quite disgusted that issues such as the terror attacks were used for money-making, while we are gullible and think it is for charity.
Konkana even mentioned that Lara Datta, Boman Irani, Arshad Warsi and Shekar Kapur were also invited for this dinner.
