Ashutosh lightens up
Known for his meaningful cinema, the director is changing tracks
After making some serious films such as Lagaan, Swades and Jodhaa Akbar, director Ashutosh Gowarikar is turning to comedy.
His next film was to be based on Mohen-jo-daro. He had started the scripting of the movie and his creative team was also working on it. However, according to sources, during the post production work of Jodhaa Akbar, Ashutosh fell in love with a light subject, so much so that he decided to postpone the making of Mohen-jo-daro and asked his creative team to work on the comedy first.
Like always, Ashutosh will be writing the script and screenplay of the movie. According to Ashutosh, the subject that he has chosen has never been attempted earlier and he will himself produce this film. He also said the casting for the film is yet to be done, and that he will do it only after the script is ready.
