Ranbir’s first release this year, Wake Up Sid, was a runaway success at the box office. Everyone’s also been talking about Ranbir’s mature handling of the role and his ability to hold his own next to the seasoned Konkona Sen Sharma. He followed this up with another hit, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, and then came Rocket Singh – Salesman Of The Year. Those who have watched the film are raving about Ranbir’s performance. He’s now working on Rajneeti and Siddharth Anand’s Anjana Anjani (with Priyanka Chopra).
Sexiest man
Ranbir Kapoor beat John Abraham, Hrithik Roshan et al to be voted the Sexiest Man Alive by People magazine (India).
Awards galore
This year has been award-heavy for Ranbir. He won the Star Screen Award for Best Actor for Bachna Ae Haseeno. And of course, he came to the Masala! Lifestyle Awards to personally receive his award for Best Bollywood Personality – Male, as voted by www.masala.com visitors. Also Rocket Singh … was chosen to premiere at DIFF.
