‘Mr India 2’ is Sridevi’s comeback film
Producer husband makes it official
Sridevi’s fans, who have been waiting to see her on the big screen ever since she took a break from acting in 1997, can rejoice. She’s all set for her Bollywood comeback in husband Boney Kapoor’s production “Mr India 2”.
"Sri's fans can finally breathe a sigh of relief. There has been a great deal of speculation about her return and now it is finally on,” Boney has said.
"We've already locked in the script. In two weeks, we'll finalise the director," he has further revealed.
Directed by Shekhar Kapur, “Mr India” (1987) is a science fiction/super hero film. It starred Boney’s brother Anil Kapoor in the title role with Sridevi as his love interest.
The two will be seen in the sequel too, along with Salman Khan, who apparently insisted on being a part of the film.
"I don't think I can make a film without Salman. He is in Mr India 2 and also in the sequels to No Entry and Wanted. I'm his new Sooraj Barjatya," Boeny has been quoted as saying.
“Mr India 2” is set to go on the floors early next year.

It is very disturbing to see the legend Rekha given Padmashri with Saif Ali Khan when she should have got it atleast 20 yrs back. How Sridevi was never considered for Padma awards ever is a thing that has painted this award in black. No other actress has contributed to the Indian cinema as a whole as Sridevi. Seriously very sad!

I started watching Indian movies this year and found the one and only versatile actress,Sridevi. I did a little research about her and knew that she and Madhuri were rivals. Then I also watched Madhuri films but Sridevi is far more better than Madhuri in terms of acting. Hope she does well in the upcoming movie.

Its very nice to listen that the number one heroine SRIDEVI is coming back. But this is as a humble advice to her that she is thinning herself too much. That fluffy, simple yet glamorous face is no more. She can but bring it back. She should not starve to get slim. She shoud eat open mindedly. Only she should do a lot of Yoga, specially heap and stomach excercises. If she listens to this, I am sure she will look like the 80's SRIDEVI in MR.INDIA Part-II. Thanks.
