Akshay plays godfather to Vindu Dara Singh
Struggling actor finally getting noticed
Vindu Dara Singh (pictured left) played Akshay Kumar’s sidekick in “Kambakkht Ishq” and both became good friends. That’s when Akki decided to take Dara Singh’s son under his wing.
Formerly married to Tabu's sister Farha, Vindu had been unsuccessful in making it in Bollywood and had resorted to playing small roles in TV serials.
As a good friend, Akshay advised him not to do bit roles in serials or films. Following the advice, Vindu stopped appearing in inconsequential roles.
Later, Akshay kept his promise and recommended Vindu’s name to a few of his producers. Subsequently, Vindu signed Sajid Khan’s “House Full” and two more films.
Even his participation in the ongoing “Big Boss 3” is due to Akshay’s recommendation. Thanks to the popularity of “Big Boss”, Vindu has become a household name.
If lady luck favours him, he may come out as a winner, even if he is evicted prematurely. It cannot be denied that a godfather is very important in this Industry.
