Shahid’s mom wants to sign Priyanka
Neelima Azeem is casting for her debut film as director
Neelima Azeem, Shahid Kapur’s mom and an actress herself, has reportedly approached Shahid’s ex-girlfriend Priyanka Chopra to act in her debut film as a director.
Neelima says she wants to cast Priyanka for the role because she fits the character very well. In fact, the two recently met at Priyanka’s house, which is in the same building as Shahid’s, to discuss the script.
According to Neelima, she discussed two scripts with her and Priyanka liked both of them.
When Neelima was asked whether Shahid is aware about her wish to cast Priyanka, she said Shahid knows about it and has no objections to it. In fact, the decision to cast Priyanka was taken way before Shahid and Priyanka were linked together.
Neelima is still unsure if Priyanka would do her film or not. She said she and Priyanka share a warm and professional relationship and her break up with Shahid will not affect their relationship at all.
Priyanka has still not given her nod for Neelima’s film.
The male lead of the film is undecided too. Neelima approached Emraan Hashmi, who turned down her offer. Prior to that, Neelima apparently asked Shahid too, who is not keen to do the film as well.
