Singer-composer wants revamped government
Shibani Kashyap (pictured left) is the latest to join showbiz industry members actively campaigning for political parties for the 2009 general elections. The singer-composer has put her voice behind the Congress party.
Shibani campaigned for Congress candidate Ramesh Tomar in a rural area and on May 4, she will be meeting the party president Sonia Gandhi for campaigning on a national level.
"We need a revamped government which is youth oriented, dynamic, sensitive and accessible," she said.
The singer, who sang songs like "Sajna", is also doing her bit for the uplift of the society.
Recently, she met President Pratibha Patil for creating awareness to save the girl child and also lent her support to Salaam Balak, a charity and educational NGO.
