Hrithik - Sussanne

Idolised as the ideal Bollywood couple, Hrithik and Sussanne got married on December 20, 2000. Barely nine years later, they are facing the biggest test to their union.

The rumours have been doing the rounds for some time now. From the time Hrithik met Barbara Mori during the Kites shoot in Mexico, to be exact.
However, the Roshans always put up a united front, with Sussanne, Hrithik and Barbara attending events together. Things came to a head when Sussanne took the kids and went to her parents’ home. But Hrithik, his sister, and eventually even Sussanne, stated that the move was triggered by termites! Their home was being renovated, so the family needed to live elsewhere for a few days.

However, the rumours refuse to die down, with many in the B’wood inner circles claiming that there is some truth to the rumours. Whatever be the case Barbara has now left Mumbai for the less controversial shores of Mexico.

That when Hrithik returned to Mumbai late at night (on the very day that Sussanne moved out), he did not go to his house, his in-laws’ house where Sussanne was staying or even his parents’ house, but to a hotel, as he claimed that he did not want to disturb his family that late in the night.

Was he being considerate or just unwilling to face an angry wife when he was tired himself?

Katrina - Salman

No one knows for sure if Katrina and Salman are together or not. In fact, for the last year or so, no one seems to know much at all! Known for his increasing eccentricities, Salman seems to be rubbing Miss Kaif the wrong way. She recently said, “Salman is unpredictable, while Shah Rukh is intelligent and Akshay is a blast.” 

Given that SRK is not exactly Sallu’s buddy we can see what the Kaif-Khan dinner table conversation must have been like after Kat said this. Katrina also went on to say, “Salman always does things that he feels are right and only he knows why he feels that particular thing is right... you can’t track his mood. As for me, I really don’t get into it, or spend much time trying to understand him because the process is too lengthy and complicated.” Not romantic talk this!

Lara - Dino

Lara Dutta and Dino Morea started dating in 2008 after her relationship with Kelly Dorjee went belly up. They kept a low profile but never hid their feelings either. But things are looking dark for Lara and Dino and if Bollywood sources are to be believed, the two have already split. The reasons are multi-fold.

At one end there is Nandita Mahtani who continues to exert a strong influence on her ex Dino and, according to witnesses at the Amrita Arora wedding, even continues to flirt with him. A claim that Nandita’s loyal friends have rubbished outright.

Lara had also asked Dino to tell Kelly about their relationship, considering the fact that Kelly and Dino had been best friends for 15 years. But Dino never built up the courage to do so, resulting in Kelly’s recent rant against Dino. Eventually, it was Lara who told Kelly about her relationship with Dino!

Of late Lara has been attending events alone. While Dino is said to be trying for a reconciliation, Lara doesn’t seem to be in any mood to forgive or forget!

Preity - Ness

Preity and Ness have been dating since 2005. Theirs has been a coming together of films and business along the lines of Tina and Anil Ambani’s marriage. But if reports from Mumbai are to be believed, marriage may not be on the cards for The Bombay Dyeing scion and the actress seen more on cricket grounds than movie screens nowadays.

The rumours are based on the fact that while the two were always seen together at almost every event, of late, Preity’s been attending events alone. She even went to Lakme India Fashion Week and the Filmfare Awards alone. She recently flew to New Zealand without Ness when the NZ government invited her during the recent India-NZ cricket matches.

That Ness did not bother to attend a recent event meant to announce the Emirates airlines sponsorship of the Kings XI Punjab team, of which he and Preity are co-owners. Instead, the limelight was firmly on Preity and her good friend and the team’s captain, Yuvraj Singh.

Are the chinks in the relationship due to one of the two losing interest because of overkill (dating and being co-owners of a property)?
