The 54th Idea Filmfare Awards 2008 was held on Saturday, February 28, 2009, at Mumbai’s plush Yash Raj Studios. The evening shone bright, as stars walked the red carpet to celebrate the best, film geniuses of 2008.
On stage, GenNext masters of ceremony and new flavours of the season - Ranbir Kapoor, Imran Khan, Deepika Padukone, Konkona Sen Sharma and Farhan Akhtar - led by the veteran host Karan Johar captivated audiences through the razzmatazz of the night!
Highlights of the evening were the enthralling performances by superstars themselves.
Svelte Katrina Kaif swayed to sizzling tracks from her hits Singh is King and Yuvraaj. Shahid Kapur set the stage ablaze after four years, with his energy and adrenaline pumping performances, a medley of his chartbusters Mauja hi Mauja and Nagada!
Sexy Bipasha Basu and suave Neil Nitin Mukesh performed tracks from their upcoming movie Aa Dekhen Zara.
Abhishek Bachchan too made a special entry with the title track of Delhi 6 and shook a leg to the ever popular Desi Girl from Dostana.
Jackie Bhagnani made his debut performance at the awards night, thus making way into Bollywood stardom.
Farhan Akhtar and his band Rock-ed On the night to a thrilling and pulsating grand finale, like never before.
Of course, in the midst of all this super entertainment, the envelopes were opened on stage to reveal the super talents and the award winners of 2008.
The awards night had extravagant sets coupled with lasers, special effects, lighting and acoustics to create a magnificent audio and visual impact.
Watch out for all this and more when this spectacular, starry, starry night will be telecast exclusively on Sony Entertainment Television on March 8, at 8 pm.

really the movie has nthg to do wid d nomination, i ve been waiting for the movie n wen saw it i was shocked cas they ve been talking abt it as if it is the new blast of bollywood,but it was a huge Waste of time to watch that movie nthg was great in it in fact even d story has nthg special! n it s not fair to give em award honestly RNBDJ WAS D BEST N SHAH RUKH WAS THE BEST! d story was different d actors were outstanding n music is jus a gift everything n d movie was outstanding, aishwarya looked super ugly n so R,roshan, being historical doesnt mean it s d best cas u have to check every single detail not copying western movie it s not bcs TROY did well means JA will do d same ! evryone knows JA wasnt successful, neither gained money so,SRK n THE NEW GIRL were really original d story very touching n d songs r good really filmfare award wasnt fair dis time! i hope d movie will get her due in ZEECINE AWARD! i simple point of vew of a person who cares abt rightness!!!!! my apology if i hurt som1. thanks

OMG that stupid Jodha Akbar took all the stupid awards. When gajhani the movie starring Amir Khan Should have won the award for best actor ,best film and thats it now i understand y Amir Khan doesnt go this stupd Filmfare awards. because these non- derseving people always win!
