Cast: Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol

Director: Aditya Chopra

Only Saint Valentine might know when DDLJ will come off the Indian cinema halls. But when parents start naming their children Raj and Simran, you know you have a multi-generational classic on your hands. And no matter what your love story is, this movie is bound to bring a smile to your partner's face.Qanayat Se Qayamat Tak

Cast: Aamir Khan, Juhi Chawla

Director: Mansoor Khan

The Indian adaptation of Shakespeare’s eternal love story ushered in a new era of romantic movies in Bollywood. Raj and Rashmi’s relationship may not have been for this world, but Mansoor Khan’s direction and Anand-Miland’s music was definitely out of it.Maine Pyaar Kiya

Cast: Salman Khan, Bhagyashree

Director: Sooraj R. Barjatya

The story of the war between love and money has probably been told countless times in Bollywood. However, Suman’s innocence and Prem’s chivalry captured the hearts of a nation, catapulting this movie into one of the all time best and biggest grossers.Lamhe

Cast: Anil Kapoor, Sridevi

Director: Yash Chopra

Ahead of its times, this timeless classic stretched the social boundaries of Indian cinema with a bold theme. It did not matter if Pallavi was older than Viren or if Viren was much older that Pooja. The cupid is not familiar with the concept of age.Bobby

Cast: Rishi Kapoor, Dimple Kapadia

Director: Raj Kapoor

Perhaps a pioneer in its own right, the movie initiated the genre of teenage romance with a rich vs poor backdrop. A fit for the nostalgic couple who want to reminisce their teens years or for the teenage couple that wants to go retro.Kuch Kuch Hota Hai

Cast: Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Rani Mukerji

Director: Karan Johar

Karan Johar's debut film conveys the ‘Pyar Dosti Hai’ message. Great story telling wrapped in a Kajol-Shah Rukh classic performance makes this romantic movie, one for the ages. For all those who have found their life partner in their best friend, this movie is a must.
